With this portrait I wanted to call in that respect and intention that can often be lacking when we connect to its spirit

This was yet another in a series of hornets nest paintings and this time I wanted to do something different

I took it with me and it was now sitting on a shelf in my studio

Monarch butterfly and some tiny fireflies are all represented here in this portrait to the animals that inhabit the forest and who are affected by forest fires that have been on the rise recently on the West Coast of the United States
